One thing is sure. You are the creator, owner, and caregiver of your monsters. You can get rid of them any time you want.

That may sound like a foreign language, especially if you have been the zookeeper of a hoard of monsters for a long time. Each one may have a deep relationship with you. Telling the truth is a critical skill. Grab some paper and list the stories or monsters that are keeping you stuck right now. Describe in detail how they get in your way. Then read it out loud. You will be surprised that they start to shrink.
