Why Choose to Serve?, #475

In this episode, we refer to more of what we talked about yesterday with Ryan. Giving back is a hard wired part of our humanity. We want to love and help at the deepest level, even as we want to be loved and helped. It is not what we have, but how much we choose to serve defines who we really are.

When we serve we expand as souls. We become more tolerant, we judge less and we love more. We think less of what someone else might be thinking and more about what we are able to do for those around us. Service also refines us. Just as precious metal is refined by heat, service, especially when it requires some sacrifice of personal pleasure, refines our souls and makes us more powerful.
