Episode 101 – Ease of Happiness
It's not anything like that happiness is a state of being, so we're going to do what we always do. Happiness is a choice. You and I, we were created to have happiness. It is the purpose. It is the design of our existence. The Creator puts us here to be happy.- Kellan Fluckiger

What you are about to learn
What is it that we want?
When I talk to people about what they want, often people will start with the obvious and say money, and, also, debt-free. Those things are good. But when you get down to it and say, “Well, what do you want more money for?” They answer “I want to take care of myself, or my family, or my loved ones, or my parents,” or whatever they feel like their obligations are. And when you keep digging down, they’ll say - “I want to be happy.” What does it mean to be happy? What is that elusive feeling of happiness? And is it something you find? So what are the inside choices that we make? Well, we choose every minute of every day, how we feel.
Elements that can help you achieve happiness.
Inside choices...
I'll share with you the things that I do, and you can decide if any of these apply to you.
Prayer, meditation and reading - you can spend time in prayer and meditation every morning. There's a spiritual element, which consists of prayer and meditation. I also read sacred literature. Sometimes it's scripture. Sometimes it's talks or other writings that have been designed to be spiritually uplifting and empowering.
Physical element - Working out - Aside from meditation, my morning ritual is working out.
It could be a big or small workout, But there are all kinds of physical exercise you could do, such as yoga, for example, and other types of stretches explicitly designed to wake up the body. I find that waking up the body leaves me feeling happy, and I feel like the circulations moving my body's connected to the earth.
Outside choices. This aspect is about your physical appearance.
What I mean about this is how we dress and groom matters. That external appearance is something that also adds to happiness. I'm not saying we're going around to spend a bunch of money and dress to impress or any of that. What I am saying is taking care of your body, the best you can. Some people might think that this is already automatic, that we do in our daily lives. We take a bath, and we dress up. If you’re doing that, that is good for you! But, how about those people that are not. Sometimes, there are some situations in our lives where we tend to be lazy. Sometimes we choose to be a couch potato, rather than getting up early and preparing ourselves for a daily routine. That is not the place from which happiness blooms.
Partly because you're taking care of the temple, meaning your body, which is the house of the Spirit. It’s where the essence of you, I call it the spirit, or the higher self or whatever that essence of you, lives in that body. If you don't take good care of the body, it's like living in a house, and the house is in shambles.
those formulas will work but wait, don’t forget to...
Choose to live happily. People want to be around me; they want to talk. They want to be open. They want to be near a source of light and joy. Because I exude a happy aura - always. So if there's a room, and there's a positive corner with people laughing and having a good time - it feels joyful and cordial. That's far more attractive than another corner which feels foreboding, angry, fearful, and scary.
My closing remarks
Make an intentional decision never to get knocked off your happiness ladder - live at or near the top of it. And if you fall off, jump right back up again. Make the choice of, “I’m going to live at or near the top of the happiness ladder for the whole week.” I challenge you to do that and see what difference it makes in your life. I know from my own experience and those of clients and people that I work with, that if you choose and live in the ease of happiness, it is far easier to create what we're all looking for: your ultimate life.
